Charming, rural romantic log cabin surrounded by forest and silence, right next to the trailhead to Preikestolen. Here you get a private cabin at Preikestolen all to yourself, with its own sandy beach, large garden, fire pit, and fully equipped kitchen.

Start your day with a cup of coffee in the silence before you set out on your hike, and return to the fire in the campfire, late grill evenings and something good in the glass. With nature right outside the door and the start of the hike just a few steps away, Veslebu is a cabin near the hiking trail to Preikestolen for those who want to combine great nature experiences with cozy evenings and real cabin comfort. The cabin was ready to go in June 2026 after a new renovation.

A traditional Norwegian cabin in the middle of nature

Veslebu is located conveniently between the forest and the water, with its own child-friendly sandy beach and great hiking opportunities right outside the door. The traditional Norwegian cottage has been renovated with respect for the rural romantic charm, and features a living room, fully equipped kitchen, and sleeping accommodations for five people.

This makes Veslebu a cozy and atmospheric place to spend a night for five people at Preikestolen, whether you are traveling as a family, a group of friends, or as a couple. When evening comes, you can light the fire in the fireplace, relax, and enjoy the tranquility after a day out. The firewood is included in the rental price, so you have everything you need for the great feeling of a real cabin with a fireplace.

Upon check-in, you will also receive a key for sanitary buildings for shower use.
The toilet block is located at BaseCamp and is a short walk from the cabin.

Extra coffee capsules, charcoal, and similar items can be purchased at our activity centre if needed.

Is there anything better than Norwegian cabin cosiness in the woods with a fire in the hearth, swimming, mountain hikes and self-caught fish for dinner?
In addition, it is a short walk to hiking trails, an ice cream parlour, a bar and a restaurant should you wish to make use of these.

Breakfast can be purchased at Fjellstua during your stay.

The cabin is located just 450 meters walk from the parking lot and Fjellstua.

Check-in is from 12:00 PM on the day of arrival.
The cabin will be ready for check-in by 4:00 PM at the latest.

The special thing about Veslebu is the combination of location, privacy, and a genuine cabin atmosphere. This is a rural romantic log cabin near Preikestolen, with its own sandy beach, the forest as its closest neighbor, and some of the area’s most beautiful natural experiences right outside the door.

Here you can rent the entire cabin and the surrounding area for yourself.

You can walk straight from the breakfast table and out for a hike, take a bath from the beach when you return and end the day around the campfire. It gives the feeling of having your own little spot in nature – while Preikestolen BaseCamp and hiking opportunities are just nearby.
