Compete Together is one of our most popular forms of team-building competitions, built around a series of tasks where the group must communicate, think quickly, and cheer each other on.
This is an engaging activity that combines brain teasers with physical challenges, led by one of our experienced activity leaders. Teams are guided through a varied programme of tasks that require teamwork, concentration, problem-solving, and good communication.
As one of our most in-demand team-building activities for businesses, Compete Together is as suitable for new teams as it is for groups that have worked together for many years. Everyone finds their role. In teams of 3–4 people, participants are tested in various challenges, without the tasks being too demanding for most to participate and contribute their strengths.
This is precisely what makes the activity a strong team activity for corporate groups. The quiet colleague suddenly becomes the hero of one task, while the manager has to let go of control in the next.
Compete Together takes place in the scenic surroundings of Preikestolen Basecamp and can be arranged year-round – including in winter. This means outdoor team-building all year for companies in Rogaland who want to get out, regardless of the season. Whether it's spring sunshine over the mountains or a crisp January day, we adapt the programme according to both the season and the group.
Compared to Problem Solve Together, this is a more physical event with a higher tempo, more energy, and a greater competitive spirit. This is precisely why it works so well as a team competition for kick-offs and company trips – an activity that lifts the mood early on and sets the tone for the rest of the gathering.

Compete Together is a structured programme where you compete in teams of three to four people through a series of short, varied challenges. Our activity leader will introduce each station, keep time, and record scores along the way, before it all concludes with the crowning of a winning team.
But the most important things often happen between the posts.
Who takes the initiative? Who thinks out loud? Who proposes solutions?
This is precisely why it works so well as a team competition for teambuilding. The tasks are deliberately simple enough for everyone to contribute, but varied enough for the group to switch between concentration, precision, speed, cooperation, and a bit of physical effort.
Some challenges are pure brain teasers. Others require coordination and collaboration across the team.
One of the great advantages of Compete Together is that it functions as an all-year-round outdoor team-building activity for businesses. Whether you're planning a June gathering with long, light evenings, or a January kickoff with fresh air and a winter atmosphere, we tailor the programme to the season.
In the summer, activities can extend further into the landscape with water features and tasks that make use of the surroundings around Refsvatnet. In winter, we condense the programme with more movement, a faster pace, and stations that keep energy levels up in the cold. This means you can include the activity in your programme without worrying that the season will impose limitations.
The winter version has its own charm. Bonfires during breaks, hot drinks in hand, and a landscape with a completely different expression when the sun is low over the mountains.
The summer version offers open spaces, fresh air and full utilisation of the nature surrounding the Basecamp.
Both work very well – just with their own personalities.
Many businesses specifically choose us as a team-building activity for kick-offs and company trips, and there's a reason for that. The activity lifts the mood and lays the foundation for the rest of the gathering. You'll emerge from Compete Together with a little more openness in the group, and that carries forward into workshops, conversations over dinner, and the evening's informal chats.
• New Year kick-off: a good start to the year
Department day: break up heavy subject days with 1.5 hours outside
Summer company outing: combines well with canoeing, sauna and dinner
• Leadership development: a good observation arena for seeing how the group collaborates under pressure
• New teams: build a shared bank of good memories and inside jokes
Compete Together delivers what most people want from a good team-building day — without it feeling forced or artificial. The group leaves feeling a little closer, a little happier, and with far more to talk about than just the agenda from earlier that day.
Whether you are having a team competition as team-building for your kickoff, professional development day, or company trip, we are happy to help tailor the programme according to the season, group size, and desired energy levels.
Send us an enquiry, and we will put together a programme that suits your group.
