The vat farm is the oldest building on the farm, with a history that stretches all the way back to 1920, when the farm first opened its doors to guests. Today, you can still feel the historic atmosphere, with old wooden walls, a lively farmyard, and nature close by.

Dogs are allowed in the cabin.

Vatne is the seven-bed family room on the left-hand side of the building. From the room you have access to a small shared kitchen with a dining area, oven, dishwasher and fridge. There are two shared toilets in the corridor. Showers are used in the sanitary block. Dogs are allowed in the room.

Torsnes is the nine-bed family room on the right-hand side of the building. From the room you have access to a small shared kitchen with dining area, oven, dishwasher and fridge. There are two shared toilets in the corridor. Showers are used in the sanitary block. Dogs are allowed in the room.

Cabin

The farm has a total of 16 beds distributed among two large family rooms at opposite ends of the house.

Between the rooms you will find a cozy kitchen with a dining area, oven, dishwasher and refrigerator, so you can easily gather around meals after a day out.

With plenty of space and the option to rent both rooms and have the entire house to yourselves, Vatnegården is perfect for family accommodation near Preikestolen – whether you are traveling as one big family or several families together.

The rooms

Each family room consists of two rooms with both single beds and bunk beds, plus a dining table in the main room. ‘Vatne’ has seven beds and ‘Torsnes’ has nine beds. Shared toilets and sinks are located in the common area between the rooms. Shower facilities and a drying room can be found in the sanitary block next to Vatnegården.

What makes Vatnegården a good choice for families?

Here there is room to gather together without everyone having to be on top of each other. Two spacious family rooms with a total of 16 beds provide flexibility, while the kitchen and dining area become a natural gathering place for breakfast before the trip and quiet meals when you return.

Outside, the courtyard and nature await, and since pets are welcome, the dog can also join the tour.
