Here is some practical information for those wishing to visit us at Preikestolen BaseCamp and/or hike to Pulpit Rock and experience our wonderful hiking terrain.
It’s easy to forget something when you are travelling. If you have forgotten something at Preikestolen BaseCamp, please contact us at post@preikestolenfjellstue.no as soon as possible and no later than 14 days after departure.
We will deliver valuable items the Police. Other items will be held for 14 days. After this time, items of lesser value will be thrown out, while clothes, shoes, etc. will be donated to charity.
We will gladly send items by post. In Norway, cash on delivery only + NOK 200 fee. Abroad, pre-payment by credit card + NOK 200 fee.

HOTEL COMFORT
Preikestolen Mountain Lodge
Preikestolen Mountain Lodge offers our highest standard of accommodation. The lodge contains 28 guest rooms with private bathrooms, the basecamp's food hall, and conference facilities.
Our hostel offers shared-space accommodation. Guests may choose between twin or quadruple rooms, all of which have sinks with hot and cold water. Shared bathrooms.
Our lakeside WaterCamp offers guests unique outdoor accommodation. Sleep in hammocks and enjoy breakfast over an open fire. Rental includes use of water vessels (canoe, kayak, or SUP).
The hike to Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) and back is 8 kilometers and takes 4-5 hours. The route has an ascent of 500 meters, with some steep sections. As part of the hike to Pulpit Rock involves rough terrain, we recommend wearing footwear with solid soles and good ankle support.
